Although we've seen similar concepts from Activision in both Call of Duty Online and Mobile, these titles have been strictly limited to a target audience, unavailable to the vast majority of players. Since the inception of the Call of Duty franchise, players have longed for the day when an all-encompassing title combining the most desirable content and aspects of the previous installments would release.
